TAX ADMINISTRATOR - Johannesburg

Our client, a professional services business within the wealth management sector, is looking to appoint an experienced Tax Administrator to provide tax and administrative support to a senior Director. This role will suit a highly organised individual who is comfortable working with private clients, handling sensitive financial information, and managing multiple deadlines with precision.

The position combines hands-on tax administration with day-to-day executive support and requires someone who is process-driven, reliable, and service orientated.

Role Overview
Tax & Compliance Duties
  • Prepare and process individual and provisional tax returns for clients.
  • Gather, review, and validate all relevant tax documentation, including income schedules and certificates.
  • Draft tax calculations and coordinate approvals prior to submission.
  • Lodge returns via SARS eFiling and manage follow-ups through to completion.
  • Maintain tax compliance for individuals and deceased estates.
  • Attend to SARS correspondence, queries, objections, and disputes.
  • Set up and maintain accurate client profiles and eFiling records.
  • Provide regular progress updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
Director Support & Office Administration
  • Manage the Director’s diary, correspondence, and travel arrangements.
  • Compile reports, presentations, and meeting documentation.
  • Coordinate meetings and ensure all logistics and materials are in place.
  • Maintain structured filing systems and client databases.
  • Handle inbound calls and provide general office and administrative assistance.
Candidate Requirements
  • Relevant bookkeeping or accounting qualification.
  • Proven experience in bookkeeping through to trial balance.
  • Strong MS Office skills and general system proficiency.
  • High level of accuracy, discretion, and professionalism.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work independently.
