The role requires at least three years in accounting, auditing, or tax administration, with strong Excel/Outlook skills and excellent client service. On-site, full-time position with a competitive outlook based on experience.
Navigating the complexities of South African tax administration requires a dedicated professional who can streamline SARS processes and support business growth. Our client, an established organization within the accounting, financial services, and taxation sectors, is seeking a skilled Tax Administrator to play a vital role in maintaining compliance and operational efficiency.
In this role, you will manage SARS eFiling queries, correspondence, and administrative processes, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding tax matters, refunds, and account discrepancies. You will prepare and submit key tax applications such as Tax Compliance Status (TCS/TCC) and Approval of International Transfer (AIT), along with assisting with updates for Registered Representatives and public officers. Additionally, you will prepare and process Dividends Tax and Donations Tax returns, investigate tax penalties and interest, and submit remission requests as appropriate.
Your ability to monitor outstanding cases, escape unresolved SARS issues, and liaise effectively with clients, SARS officials, and internal teams will be critical. Maintaining accurate client records and supporting documentation, meeting deadlines, and providing professional client service will underpin your success in this role.
Candidates should possess at least three years of relevant experience in accounting, auditing, or tax administration, with practical expertise in SARS eFiling and a thorough understanding of South African tax procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and Outlook, alongside strong organizational and problem-solving skills, is essential.
While not mandatory, experience with filing, tax, and administration will be advantageous. The role offers an on-site work environment in Stellenbosch, with full-time employment and a competitive outlook based on experience.
