Job summary

Origin Financial Group in George, South Africa, seeks a detail-oriented Tax Administrator to support the Tax Department with administrative tasks and compliance. You will assist with preparing, submitting, tracking, and following up on tax-related matters for clients, ensuring accurate records and timely SARS submissions.

You will help the Tax and Accounting Department with tax returns, SARS registrations, client follow-ups, document management, and compliance tracking, while maintaining

Qualifications

• Grade 12/Matric as a baseline qualification.
• Certificate/diploma in taxation, accounting, bookkeeping, or financial administration preferred.
• Basic SARS eFiling knowledge is advantageous.
• Experience with GreatSoft is beneficial.
• Proficiency in Excel, Outlook and Word.

Responsibilities

• Provide tax administration and client support for individuals, companies, trusts and other entities.
• Maintain accurate client tax records and follow up on outstanding documents.
• Assist with preparation, checking and submission support for income and provisional tax returns.
• Assist with SARS registrations, profile updates and related queries.
• Monitor tax deadlines, compliance schedules, and SARS responses.
• Escalate complex matters to senior team members as needed.
• Maintain organised tax files and supporting documents.
• Support general tax department administration.
