A well-established and respected winery with a proud heritage and a growing presence across their vineyard, cellar, and hospitality operations is looking to appoint a Tasting Room & Wine Club Manager for a permanent, fully on-site role based in Franschhoek .

This prestigious Wine Estate is renowned for its award-winning wines, exceptional guest experiences, and commitment to excellence in every aspect of its operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading the Tasting Room and Wine Club , driving direct-to-consumer (DTC) sales, and curating memorable, high-end wine experiences that reflect the estate’s premium brand.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead theday-to-day operations of the tasting room, ensuring an elevated, seamless,and memorable guest experience.
  • Recruit,train, and motivate a team of hospitality professionals, fostering aculture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Deliverpremium, personalised wine tastings and experiences through expertstorytelling, product knowledge, and warm hospitality.
  • Oversee themanagement and growth of the Wine Club, ensuring exceptional memberengagement, retention, and sales performance.
  • Collaboratewith the Sales, Marketing, and Events teams to support estatepromotions, private functions, and targeted sales initiatives.
  • Manage andmaintain the accuracy, presentation, and functionality of Commerce7, BC, and Tablet POS systems.
  • Ensureeffective stock control, product presentation, and merchandising alignedwith brand standards.
  • Manage guestfeedback, group bookings, and VIP engagements with professionalism andattention to detail.
  • Monitor andreport on sales performance, visitor data, and team productivity,providing strategic insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Upholdcompliance with health, safety, and service standards across all tastingroom operations.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5years’ experience in hospitality, tourism, or wine industrymanagement.
