Job summary

NTT DATA, Inc. in Johannesburg seeks a Talent Analytics & Insights Business Partner to manage analytics demand, reporting, and data quality across the Talent Analytics portfolio. You will translate business needs into data requirements and trusted metrics while partnering with IT Data COE to deliver actionable insights.

You will lead stakeholder engagement, prioritise analytics requests, and support governance of talent metrics and data definitions, enabling self-service analytics adoption.

Qualifications

• Experience in people analytics, HR reporting, business analysis, or analytics product support.
• Experience engaging business stakeholders to understand reporting, analytics, data, or insight requirements.
• Experience translating business needs into reporting requirements, dashboards, data definitions, user stories, or analytics deliverables.
• Exposure to Snowflake and SAP analytics tools is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage business engagement for Talent Analytics and Insights across P&C / HR stakeholder groups.
• Act as the primary link between business stakeholders and the IT Data COE for talent analytics, operational reporting, data requirements, and data quality.
• Gather, analyse, document, and prioritise business requirements for reporting, dashboards, analytics products, and insights use cases.
• Translate business questions into data requirements, reporting logic, KPI definitions, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Manage the talent analytics demand portfolio, prioritising requests by business value, urgency, feasibility, data readiness, and strategic alignment.
• Oversee operational reporting requirements, including recurring reports, leadership packs, workforce insights, and management information.
• Support the definition and governance of Talent metrics, reporting standards, business rules, data definitions, and insight interpretation.
• Manage data quality requirements, including identifying data gaps, tracking issues, coordinating remediation, and validating improvements.
• Partner with IT Data COE, data engineers, reporting developers, product owners, and system owners to ensure datasets and reporting outputs meet business needs.
• Support the use of Snowflake, SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP People Intelligence, and other analytics technologies from a business requirements perspective.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing, report validation, data reconciliation, and business sign-off for analytics deliverables.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, reduce manual effort, standardise metrics, and increase self-service analytics adoption.
• Educate stakeholders on new analytics methods, data models, dashboards, trends, and insight capabilities.
• Monitor adoption, user feedback, data quality trends, and business satisfaction to improve Talent Analytics and Insights services.
• Ensure analytics outputs align with privacy, data security, access control, and responsible employee data use requirements.

Your day at NTT DATA

The Talent Analytics & Insights Business Partner is responsible for managing business engagement, analytics demand, operational reporting, and data quality across the Talent Analytics and Insights portfolio.

This role acts as the link between People & Culture stakeholders, Talent teams, product owners, and the IT Data COE. It ensures business needs are translated into clear data requirements, reporting priorities, trusted metrics, and actionable talent insights.

Key Responsibilities

Knowledge and Attributes

• Strong understanding of Talent, People & Culture, HR processes, operational reporting, and workforce analytics.
• Good understanding of business analysis practices, including requirements gathering, process mapping, user stories, acceptance criteria, and stakeholder engagement.
• Good understanding of data quality, data governance, KPI definitions, reporting controls, and data issue management.
• Working knowledge of analytics and data platforms such as Snowflake, SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP People Intelligence, and standard BI / reporting tools.
• Ability to translate business needs into clear data, reporting, and analytics requirements.
• Ability to create a bridge between business stakeholders and technical data teams.
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to interpret data through a business lens.
• Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to explain data and analytics concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management skills across global, regional, business, IT, data, and product teams.
• Good understanding of data privacy, role-based access, and responsible use of employee data.
• Ability to manage multiple requests, priorities, and stakeholder expectations in a complex environment.
• Curiosity about emerging analytics methods, self-service reporting, AI-enabled insights, and people analytics trends.

Academic Qualifications And Certifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business. or Data Analytics, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Business Analysis, Agile, Data Analytics, HR Technology, SAP Analytics Cloud, or Product Ownership certifications would be beneficial.
• Training in data governance, people analytics, workforce analytics, or data storytelling would be advantageous.

Required Experience

• Relevant experience in people analytics, HR reporting, business analysis, HR technology, workforce analytics, data governance, or analytics product support.
• Experience engaging business stakeholders to understand reporting, analytics, data, or insight requirements.
• Experience translating business needs into reporting requirements, dashboards, data definitions, user stories, or analytics deliverables.
• Experience working with IT, data engineering, reporting, or analytics teams to deliver business-facing insights.
• Experience supporting operational reporting, KPI definitions, dashboards, data validation, and report governance.
• Experience identifying and resolving data quality issues with system owners, data teams, and business stakeholders.
• Exposure to Snowflake, SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP People Intelligence, SAP SuccessFactors, Power BI or similar tools would be advantageous.
• Experience in a global or matrixed organisation would be beneficial.
