Goldman Tech Resourcing (Pty) Ltd in South Africa is seeking an experienced Tailings Engineer to join a dynamic mining team. The role requires a strong background in tailings management, dam design, and regulatory compliance, with at least five years of relevant experience.

You will collaborate with geotechnical engineers and environmental specialists to ensure safe, compliant tailings facilities across projects, and you should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; PrEng is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of tailings engineering experience within the mining industry.
• PrEng certification preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of tailings management principles, practices, and regulations.
• Proficiency in tailings dam design, construction, and monitoring.
• Experience in geotechnical investigations and analyses related to tailings facilities.
• Familiarity with software for geotechnical analysis and modeling.
• Strong understanding of environmental regulations and best practices in tailings management.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including geotechnical engineers, environmental specialists, and regulatory agencies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
