Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a skilled inventory manager to maintain stock records and oversee reconciliations in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in retail or hospitality and possess strong analytical skills. Proficiency in inventory systems like Matrix and Excel is essential. Qualifications

Job description

Duties :

Maintain accurate stock records and oversee daily stock reconciliations.

Capture all movements, deliveries, and variances in the Matrix system.

Investigate discrepancies between system and physical counts.

Support warehousing operations with dispatch and receiving documentation.

Manage system updates : supplier codes, PLUs, and pricing lists.

Generate daily and monthly stock and variance reports.

Liaise with suppliers to ensure accurate invoicing and delivery tracking.

Train store and warehouse teams on proper system use.

Support the roll-out of new system improvements.

Requirements : Grade 12

Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Hospitality Management advantageous.

At least 5+ years experience in a similar role withing the retail, FMCG or hospitality industry

Hospitality / sushi industry experience preferred

Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Experience using Matrix, GAAP, or similar inventory systems.

Experience with ERP or POS-linked inventory management systems.

Intermediate to advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines.
