We are seeking a skilled and experienced Systems Engineer with 3 to 4 years of Tier 2 support experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Microsoft 365, cloud platforms (AWS and Azure), and enterprise infrastructure technologies. This role involves maintaining, supporting, and optimizing our IT systems and infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 support for system-related issues across the organization.
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 environments.
- Manage and maintain Windows Server infrastructure.
- Support and configure VMWare virtualization platforms.
- Administer Dell storage and backup solutions.
- Manage Cisco UCS servers and related infrastructure.
- Configure and troubleshoot Cisco routing and switching technologies.
- Support Mimecast email security and archiving solutions.
- Assist in cloud infrastructure management across AWS and Azure platforms.
- Monitor system performance and ensure reliability and availability.
- Participate in infrastructure projects and upgrades.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Experience
- 3-4 years of experience in systems engineering or IT infrastructure support.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 (non-negotiable).
- Hands-on experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
- Solid understanding of Dell storage and backup technologies.
- Experience with Windows Server administration.
- Proficiency in VMWare virtualization.
- Knowledge of Cisco UCS and enterprise hardware.
- Experience with Cisco routing and switching.
- Familiarity with Mimecast email security solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Matric and a relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, AWS, Cisco, VMware).
- Experience in enterprise IT environments.
- Exposure to ITIL practices and service management tools.
