Summary

The main purpose of this role is to provide effective daily support on related systems and business processes within the distribution center. In addition, this role will assist with the maintenance on EWM and other related systems within area of responsibility for effective delivery.

Functions / Responsibilities
  • To set and maintain acceptable levels of performance within own area of responsibility.
  • Continuously drives to develop skills and knowledge by taking ownership for own career development
People (Performance & Development)
  • Conduct ongoing system and process training within all areas of the Distribution Center in order to improve the skill and create capacity.
  • Conduct the management of a broad knowledge of system experience
Culture & Innovation
  • Conduct ongoing analysis to understand and detect system challenges and non-compliance.
  • Participate in the ongoing development of a performance measurement framework.
  • Seek improvements that will compliment performance and productivity coupled with cost saving on a continuous basis for increased speed.
Finance
  • Operate within the Set Budgets and Forecasts of the division, to achieve maximum effectiveness with regards to systems and processes.
  • Deliver on Systems and Processes that will reduce company costs.
Task Execution
  • Assist with the maintenance of stock integrity with effective system set ups, and that ongoing monitoring of system set ups are done in order to ensure that the integrity of stock is being maintained at all times.
  • Clear all technical issues highlighted on the Systems and Process Dashboard.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of new system enhancements and process changes.
  • Implement new Systems and Processes.
  • Drive system housekeeping.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of system challenges and employ the required fixes in conjunction with the Operations team, to ensure a streamlined and efficient warehousing system.
  • Provide efficient end-user support to the operational staff through adequately and competent staff.
  • UAT Business testing and Q & A of new processes.
  • Act as the first level support to the DC Management on any system related issues
Requirements
  • Matric/Grade 12
  • Relevant NQF7 qualification/Degree/Advance Diploma in Industrial Engineering
Experience
  • SAP EWM / SAP WM and ERP experience would be essential
  • Proven and solid Systems and Process experience would be essential A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a distribution and in warehousing environment would be essential.
  • A minimum of 1 to 2 years’ managerial experience at middle level is essential.
  • Computer literacy would be advantageous.
