About the Role
Responsible for the strategic and operational administration of the company's data center, server and virtual infrastructure, IT security, end-user computing (EUC), and service desk functions. This role ensures the seamless delivery of technology services, including operational technology, aligned with business objectives and regulatory standards within the financial sector.
Key responsibilities
- Day-to-day administration ensuring optimal performance, service continuity, and adherence to ITIL best practices.
- Managing vendor relationships and contracts to ensure high-quality service delivery and compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
- Overseeing hosted physical and virtual infrastructure, network environments, security frameworks, and EUC platforms to maintain operational resilience and data integrity.
- Acting as a key liaison between IT and business units, fostering strong stakeholder relationships and ensuring technology solutions meet evolving business needs.
- Enabling the company's digital strategy, ensuring robust infrastructure and secure operations.
Knowledge, Skills and Core Competencies
- Minimum 5 years working experience in a network, data center, IT service management, IT service desk or cyber security IT environment.

Qualifications
- BSc Informatica / BCom Informatica or equivalent tertiary education.
- Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or equivalent certifications.
- 5+ years in IT infrastructure roles, preferably within financial services.
- Strong experience with Azure, Hyper‑V, and enterprise networking.
- Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and service management tools.
- Proven leadership and vendor management capabilities.
Overview of the position: Primary
Infrastructure Architecture & Design
Design and maintain enterprise-grade infrastructure solutions aligned with business and compliance requirements. Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to define standards and roadmaps for infrastructure evolution.
Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure (Cloud, Hyper‑V)
Deploy, manage, and optimize hybrid environments using Cloud and Hyper‑V. Ensure secure integration between on‑premises and cloud platforms.
Data Centre Management & Modernization
Administrate physical and virtual data center operations, including capacity planning and hardware lifecycle. Drive modernization initiatives such as virtualization, automation, and cloud integration.
Infrastructure & Security Operations
Manage network services including DNS, DHCP, Active Directory. Monitor and respond to security threats, ensuring compliance with financial industry standards.
Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity Planning
Develop and test disaster recovery plans and backup strategies. Ensure business continuity through resilient infrastructure and recovery procedures.
ITIL-based Service Delivery & Governance
Implement and manage ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Configuration). Ensure regulatory compliance PCI DSS. Monitor service performance and ensure SLA compliance.
Vendor & Contract Management
Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers. Oversee contract negotiations, renewals, and performance reviews.
Financial & Capacity Planning
Develop and manage IT budgets and forecasts. Monitor infrastructure capacity and plan for future growth and scalability.
