Teraco Data Environments in Gauteng seeks an Environmental Officer to support the Sustainability Office by implementing the Environmental Management Programme, maintaining ISO 14001, and coordinating compliance across Teraco’s sites.

You will conduct inspections, track non-conformances, maintain records, and support audits. The role requires 2–4 years in environmental compliance and a relevant degree, with travel to national facilities.

Qualificações

• Diploma or degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Science or related field.
• 2–4 years’ experience in environmental compliance or environmental management systems or a similar role.
• Working knowledge of ISO 14001 and SA environmental legislation (NEMA and National Water Act).
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to Teraco’s national operational facilities.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate environmental inspections and audits across Teraco sites.
• Track environmental non-conformances and corrective actions; collect closure evidence and elevate significant risks.
• Maintain environmental records, procedures, registers and supporting evidence.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing evidence and following up on findings.
• Track progress against environmental objectives and assist during construction with EMPr compliance.
