Job description
The Team

The THS North Purchasing and Supply Team work to efficiently procure and supply medical goods and equipment to Tasmanian Hospitals and regional medical centres. By working collaboratively as a statewide team, we strive to deliver a reliable and accurate service with the safety and quality care of our patients as our central focus. Our statewide team is looking to the future and embarking on an exciting period of change and innovation to improve our culture, processes and value to the Tasmanian Health Service.

The Role

In accordance with established policies and guidelines, the Supply & Purchasing Officer is responsible for the effective and efficient operations of the Supply Department by:

  • Processing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services as required by the local department of the nominated Region.
  • Providing support and information to internal and external stakeholders including industry representatives on procurement and supply associated matters.
  • Coordinating and liaising with internal/external departments and private clients to ensure critical medical and other supply service delivery needs are met.
  • Contributing to positive team culture and participating in activities and project work to drive continuous improvement.

Details of Appointment

Permanent full‑time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

Position will be based in Launceston, Tasmania.

Note: Hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full‑time, part‑time, and casual vacancies.

Salary

$73,811 - $79,779 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.

Salary Packaging

You’ll have access to a salary package and a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
