Job Overview

The Supply Planner will be responsible for designing and executing accurate supply and purchase plans that ensure customer demand is consistently met while balancing inventory optimization, cost efficiency, and supply chain resilience. The role requires strong cross-functional collaboration with sales, operations, procurement, and distribution teams. This is a highly strategic and analytical position, ideal for a professional with a proven track record in FMCG supply planning and logistics.

Key Responsibilities
Supply & Demand Planning
  • Develop, monitor, and update demand forecasts to ensure optimal stock availability across product ranges.
  • Analyse historical sales data, market trends, and customer insights to anticipate demand fluctuations.
  • Translate demand forecasts into accurate purchase plans aligned with stock strategies.
Inventory Management
  • Manage and deploy inventory across multiple warehouses and customer locations.
  • Track stock movement, monitor shelf life, and ensure timely replenishments to avoid stock-outs or overstocking.
  • Provide daily and monthly reporting on inventory levels, forecast accuracy, and supply performance.
Supplier & Stakeholder Management
  • Measure, evaluate, and improve supplier performance to enhance supply chain reliability.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers, logistics providers, and key internal stakeholders.
  • Communicate supply plan updates, challenges, and corrective actions effectively to all relevant parties.
Process Improvement & Risk Management
  • Continuously review supply planning processes to drive efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Identify risks within the supply chain and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Champion best practices in demand forecasting, inventory deployment, and reporting accuracy.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
  • Minimum of 8–10 years’ experience in FMCG supply chain, demand planning, or logistics management.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Proven ability to generate and present detailed inventory and supply reports to senior leadership.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and presentation skills.
  • A proactive, solutions-driven approach with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
