About the Company

A national manufacturing and distribution company within the automotive industry is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Shift Supervisor to manage and coordinate warehouse operations during assigned shifts.>

Role Overview

The Shift Supervisor oversees warehouse, transport, and inventory activities ensuring that operations run efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company standards. This position involves leading a team, maintaining stock accuracy, and driving performance to meet operational targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage shift operations including receiving, picking, packing, dispatch, and returns.

  • Allocate staff and resources to meet workload demands.

  • Monitor inventory accuracy, perform cycle counts, and resolve discrepancies.

  • Maintain compliance with safety, housekeeping, and operational standards (5S).

  • Ensure on-time dispatch and adherence to delivery schedules.

  • Lead, train, and develop staff for continuous improvement and performance.

  • Prepare shift reports, KPI updates, and communicate effectively with management.

Requirements
  • Certificate or Diploma in Logistics, Warehousing, or Supply Chain Management (NQF 56).

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a warehouse or logistics supervisory role.

  • Strong knowledge of SAP/ERP systems and warehouse processes.

  • Proven leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work shifts and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
