The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 5 years of experience in planning. Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience working in planning or a related field.
  • Experience in a major retail planning environment will be an advantage.
  • ERP integration and Supply Chain Management Tools knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Manage stock levels in line with sales to achieve a companywide 2.5-month stock holding.
  • Evaluate forecast vs. sales figures monthly and adjust stock planning accordingly.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Shipping to determine allocation priorities.

Job description
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Stock levels to be managed in line with sales achieved, to achieve a companywide 2.5-month stock holding, as well as a minimum customer in-fill rate of 95%.
  • Managing aged stock as well as distressed stock.
  • Pro‑actively report stock shortages to sales and marketing team.
  • Pro‑actively report on any stock delays.
  • Evaluate forecast vs. sales figures monthly and adjust stock planning and ordering accordingly.
  • Perform various forecast analysis as needed.
  • Facilitate and drive weekly supply planning meetings.
  • Collaborating with Sales, Marketing and Shipping to determine allocation priorities in support of business objectives.
  • Applying business intelligence (knowledge of big deals, product transitions, marketing trends, etc.) to the forecasting process and improving tools and processes to optimize the planning organization.
  • May participate in projects within the greater Supply Chain Operations organization.
  • The position will interface with both operations and planning teams.
  • Formulate strategies and market research for direct deliveries.
  • Ensure consolidation of containers is achieved on the best business cost savings.
  • Regularly inform and update other departments of significant changes or problems relating to demand and return pattern.
  • Ensure stock budget per category is in‑line with orders placed.
  • Planners will be required to rotate their category annually.
  • ETA's to be updated daily.
  • Ensure weekly reports are submitted and order tracker is updated.
Desired Experience & Qualifications
  • Fluent in English.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience working in planning or a related field.
  • Matric plus a Bachelor's Degree in supply chain, Logistics, Planning, Finance or Business.
  • Solid analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office Tools: Excel (Advanced), PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Netstock experience will be an advantage.
  • Experience in a major retail planning environment will be an advantage.
  • Strong reporting skills.
