Job description

Overview

We are looking for a Logistics and Supply Chain Manager. This is a high-level role with significant responsibility at PABT.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Head of Operations and Head of Engineering.
• Oversee multiple departments with a hierarchical structure (managers, supervisors, and staff).
• Stores and warehousing: manage two large warehouses with stockholding of R200 million+ with active part numbers.
• Logistics: manage a fleet of 10 trucks with drivers, forklifts, and other material handling equipment.
• Procurement: supervise local and international procurement; stay up to date with regulations and processes; manage relationships with international shipping companies.
• Manage the complete supply chain from Sales Order to procurement, stores, delivery, and invoicing.
• Forecast and maintain stock levels in a complex supply and demand environment.

Key Performance Areas (KPAs)

• Stock level accuracy
• Delivery time (from Sales Order to Invoicing), covering the steps: procurement evaluating Sales Order for shortages and sourcing; stores picking; communication of ETA between stores, procurement, and production; delivery and invoicing; procurement spend and maintaining gross profit margins.
