Performance Visibility & Optimisation Specialist - Innovative Recruitment invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the Performance Visibility & Optimisation Specialist position, based in Cape Town.

Duties & Responsibilities

This role is responsible for providing the business with data-driven insights, obtained through both standard reports and ad-hoc analyses, and establishing standard dashboards and reports to enable the business to monitor and improve performance across various departments.

The role supports commercial, operational, and financial decision-making through advanced analytical modelling, using large sets of data. The secondary focus includes ad-hoc design and optimization projects, as well as assistance with costings and solution design for new business initiatives.

Improve resource utilisation and associated costs through analytical insights. Draw clear conclusions through data analysis. Support operational, commercial, and financial decisions. Identify issues and trends and discuss with responsible managers. Design and cost solutions using appropriate fleet and network design modelling. Drive "cost to serve" optimisation by principals, regions, service levels, and network partners. Identify and drive continuous improvement projects with key stakeholders.

Desired Experience & Qualification
  • Industrial Engineering Degree (preferred)
  • BCom Honours (Logistics / Supply Chain Management)
  • Minimum 2 years data analytics experience in an integrated logistics or supply chain environment.
Technical Skills
  • Advanced Excel modelling and analytical skills.
  • Advanced skills in Power BI.
  • Experience in programming languages such as SQL, Python, or R will be advantageous.
  • Network modelling (using Advanced modelling software or advanced Excel models).
  • Trained and experienced in Cost to Serve modelling and analytics.
  • Strong data management and database usage skills.
  • Experience in structured ongoing continuous improvement function – diagnostics, value identification, solution generation, value extraction.
  • Experience in Sales and Operations planning will be advantageous.
  • Ability to translate quantitative outputs into a well-structured presentation format.
