  • Provide senior financial leadership within the supply chain and logistics teams.
  • Ensure robust financial governance, budgeting, forecasting and actionable performance insights.
  • Drive cost efficiency, enable data‑driven decision‑making and align supply chain operations with business financial goals.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, track and report KPIs such as R/kg, cost‑to‑serve, fleet utilisation, labour efficiency, shrinkage, stock losses and warehouse productivity.
  • Analyse trends, deliver insights and lead corrective actions to improve financial and operational performance.
  • Issue store expense reporting (P&L) and identify overspending indicators.
  • Create margin expense management to improve efficiencies.
  • Assist in cost allocations, capital‑expense reporting and deliver decision‑ready reports for Executive Committee.
  • Implement governance frameworks for cost areas (overtime, fleet, inventory losses) and maintain compliance with audit requirements.
  • Lead annual budgeting cycle and rolling forecasts, incorporating volume shifts, labour demand and route changes.
  • Develop financial business cases for major initiatives, including lease vs. own, Opex vs. Capex, ROI/IRR modelling, and support projects like the National Network Optimisation Model and Warehouse of the Future.
  • Oversee automation of reporting, support deployment of WMS, barcode systems and cost‑to‑serve modelling.
  • Measure and report on labour productivity, absenteeism, incentive schemes and seasonal planning.
  • Deliver weekly and monthly performance reports, root cause analysis and action plans for performance gaps.
Qualifications & Experience
  • BCom Honours in Finance/Accounting; CIMA or MBA preferred.
  • 7–10 years senior finance experience in retail or FMCG supply chain/logistics.
  • Expertise in financial modelling, scenario planning and cost optimisation.
  • Experience with lease vs. own, Opex vs. Capex, ROI/IRR modelling for large-scale projects.
  • Proficient with ERP systems and BI tools (Power BI).
  • Strong governance, risk management and analytical capabilities.
