Job summary

A reputable placement agency is looking for a Supply Chain Clerk in Pretoria. The successful candidate will manage Asset processes, coordinate inventory control, and ensure compliance with SCM policies and Treasury Regulations. A Grade 12 Certificate and solid computer and communication skills are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Management of the Assets processes.
  • Interaction with internal and external stakeholders regarding the movement of Assets.
  • Update and maintain Asset register.
  • Facilitate and coordinate timely bar‑coding of Assets.
  • Conduct quarterly spot checks and annual Asset Verification.
  • Ensure compliance with SCM policies and Treasury Regulations.

Job description

Supply Chain Clerk – Asset and Warehouse

Responsibilities
  • Management of the Assets processes
  • Interaction with internal and external stakeholders regarding the movement of Assets and ensuring that necessary documentation of forms is completed
  • Update and maintain Asset register, ensuring quarterly / annual stock takes and disposal of Assets
  • Facilitate and coordinate timely bar‑coding of Assets
  • Maintenance and safeguarding of Assets
  • Conduct quarterly spot checks and annual Asset Verification
  • Report all loss of Assets
  • Ensure timely reporting to the National Department and resolve discrepancies of the Assets
  • Perform any other assigned duties in relation to the implementation of the SCM system of the Department
  • Ensure compliance with SCM policies, Delegation of Authority, Treasury Regulations and Standard Operating Procedures in the warehouse
  • Manage the activities within a warehouse by ensuring inventory control and accountability
  • Ensure bi‑annual stock taking and monthly theoretical stock balances
  • Ensure replenishment of stock is in line with procurement regulations
  • Identify redundant and obsolete stock
  • Collect and receive goods from suppliers
  • Issue stock to different sections
  • Update BIN and TALLY cards
  • Ensure efficient stock counts and submission of reports
  • Deal with auxiliary services within the Department
Qualifications
  • Applicants must possess a Grade 12 Certificate
