About the Role

Our client, a significant entity within the logistics and warehousing sector, is seeking a highly analytical and data-driven Supply Chain Analyst to join their team in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. This role is essential for driving efficiency and optimizing performance across the company’s supply chain operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing data, identifying trends, forecasting demand, and developing strategies to improve inventory management, transportation, and overall operational effectiveness. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape supply chain strategies and contribute to cost savings and service enhancements. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement in efficiency and cost.
• Develop and maintain demand forecasts to ensure optimal inventory levels and production planning.
• Monitor inventory levels across various locations, recommending adjustments to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
• Analyze transportation costs and performance, identifying opportunities for optimization and cost reduction.
• Collaborate with procurement, operations, and sales teams to align supply chain activities with business objectives.
• Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supply chain performance and report on findings.
• Support the implementation of new supply chain technologies and processes.
• Conduct root cause analysis for supply chain disruptions and develop mitigation strategies.
• Prepare regular reports and presentations on supply chain performance for senior management.
• Contribute to strategic planning and long-term supply chain development initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain analysis, logistics, or operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
• Excellent understanding of supply chain principles, inventory management, and logistics.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey findings to diverse audiences.
• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is desirable.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
• Familiarity with forecasting techniques and methodologies.
