The University of Cape Town Lung Institute requires applications for a Study Coordinator
The MRC Unit is an accredited research unit established to undertake research in key areas of child health of major importance in low- and middle- income settings, including pneumonia, tuberculosis (TB), HIV-associated illness, asthma, and developmental origins of health.
Research focuses on the epidemiology, aetiology and risk factors for health or disease and the impact of acute disease on child health, with a focus on lung health.
A strong focus is on building research capacity, technology transfer and development of clinician scientists in South Africa and Africa to undertake translational research that will impact on child health.
This position is based at Red Cross Children's Hospital at the Research Centre for Adolescent & Child Health (REACH) at the Red Cross Children's Hospital (RXH), Cape Town, South Africa, and will support the MRC Unit Project Manager in areas of project administration and coordination.
