Placements24 is seeking a talented Structural Engineer to join our East London team, contributing to a variety of building projects, and ensuring structural integrity, safety, and stability of new constructions and refurbishments.

Collaborate with architects, contractors, and project managers to ensure designs comply with codes, standards, and project requirements while delivering high-quality structural solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, with structural focus.
• Master’s degree in Structural Engineering is highly advantageous.
• Pr.Eng registration with ECSA or eligibility.
• Minimum 6 years of professional experience in structural design for buildings.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze building structures using steel, concrete, timber, and composite materials.
• Prepare detailed structural drawings, calculations, and specifications for building projects.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, SANS standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct site inspections during construction to verify structural installations.
• Collaborate with architectural teams, contractors, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review shop drawings and submittals to ensure design intent is maintained.

Key Responsibilities
