St Charles College, founded in 1875, is an independent Christian boys’ College situated in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa, catering for day boys from Grade 000 to Matric with boarders from Grade 4 upwards. The College has written the University of Cambridge International IGCSE, AS Level and A Level Examinations since 2002.

Strength and Conditioning Coach

We are looking for an inspired, self-motivated strength and conditioning coach with a proven track record in the field of sport and wellness. This role includes planning, tracking, mentoring and reporting – primarily through our Physical Education and High-Performance programmes. The ideal candidate will have the capacity to inspire boys and coaches through an exceptional work ethic, strong skill set and a genuine passion for the wellbeing of student athletes.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Provide technically proficient strength and conditioning coaching to boys across various age groups and skill levels
  • Manage high workloads and adapt to unconventional hours, including early mornings, weekends and holidays
  • Build relationships and network with relevant internal and external stakeholders
  • Be able to work within the Christian values and mission of the College

Minimum Qualifications

  • Relevant experience managing school gyms and balancing multi-code loads
