Job summary

Virbac RSA Ltd. is seeking a field-based veterinary pharmaceutical sales professional in Gauteng. You will drive sales, engage veterinarians, vet nurses and frontshop staff, and implement BU marketing plans to grow market share.

The role requires strong product knowledge, selling skills and ability to manage budgets, with Afrikaans and English fluency. A veterinary degree or equivalent is essential, with veterinary sales experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Veterinary degree or veterinary nursing diploma/degree required, with relevant sales experience preferred.
• Marketing qualification or accreditation is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Achieve the gross sales budget for the year.
• Maintain regular face-to-face meetings with veterinarians, vet nurses and Frontshop staff as per guidelines.
• Optimise sales and profits through marketing plans and campaigns per BU strategy for the assigned area.
• Proactively present business opportunities for the designated area.
• Present recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the business unit.
• Attend and represent Virbac at industry conferences and seminars in line with BU Strategy.
• Utilise marketing tools to align with BU marketing plans.
