Job summary

Astron Energy (Pty) Ltd. is seeking a Turnaround Lead in Milnerton to plan, coordinate and execute major refinery turnarounds.

You will lead a multi-disciplinary team to deliver safe, on-schedule work within budget, integrating maintenance, reliability and operations inputs. The role requires a strong track record in turnaround planning, scope management and contractor oversight, with relevant engineering qualifications and PMI/PMP or GCC benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' experience in refinery, petrochemical or heavy industrial maintenance with turnaround focus.
• Minimum 5 years in turnaround leadership or senior planning role with delivery accountability.
• Proven track record in major turnaround scope management and IMS development.
• Experience with turnaround planning tools such as Primavera P6 and SAP PM advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end turnaround planning and execution.
• Develop the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and ensure resource loading.
• Manage scope freeze and post-freeze change processes.
• Coordinate contractor and maintenance resources to deliver safely and on plan.
• Close-out handover documentation and lessons learned.
