Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead the sourcing function from Vereeniging, Gauteng. The role focuses on developing and executing strategies to optimize value, quality and risk across multiple spend categories.

You will identify key suppliers, negotiate complex contracts, and drive improvements in the procurement process. A senior thinker is required to influence business outcomes and support the company’s competitive edge.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in strategic sourcing, procurement or category management.
• Proven success in leading complex negotiations and large contracts.
• Strong analytical skills translating data into strategy.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
• MBA or related master’s degree; CIPS preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive strategic sourcing plans across various spend categories.

Requirements

• Extensive experience (7+ years) in strategic sourcing , procurement, or category management.
• Demonstrated success in leading complex negotiations and managing large-scale contracts.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; CIPS qualification preferred.
