Job summary

Qualifications

• Matric is essential.
• A relevant qualification in Employee Benefits, Retirement Funds, Insurance, Financial Planning, Finance, Business, Commerce, Economics or related field will be advantageous.
• 3–6 years' experience within employee benefits, retirement funds, group risk insurance, life assurance, broker consulting or related financial-services environment.
• Employee benefits or insurance experience is essential.
• Strong technical understanding of retirement funds, group risk, life assurance and employee-benefit solutions.
• Experience analysing benefit structures, pricing, policy terms, underwriting requirements and provider options.
• Experience preparing client presentations, proposals, benefit comparisons or market analyses.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to sales teams across retirement funds and employee-benefit solutions.
• Analyse and compare benefit structures, pricing and underwriting terms.
• Assist with design of risk and retirement solutions.
• Prepare client presentations, proposals and recommendation reports.
• Translate complex information into clear, commercially relevant messaging.
• Support client meetings and address technical questions and objections.
• Conduct market research and benchmarking across retirement funds and employee benefits.
• Support sales process from qualification to handover.
• Identify gaps within benefit structures and cross-selling opportunities.
• Assist with reviews, provider comparisons and renewals.
