Placements24 is seeking a Procurement Officer for a prominent manufacturing client in Port Elizabeth. You will source and negotiate with suppliers for raw materials, manage inventory, and drive cost efficiencies to support production schedules.

Minimum 4 years procurement experience in manufacturing, focusing on raw/direct materials.
Proven negotiation of commodity contracts and supplier performance.
Strong inventory management and forecasting skills.

Responsibilities

Source, negotiate, and procure raw materials and components for manufacturing.
Build and maintain relationships with suppliers for quality and cost competitiveness.
Monitor commodity markets to anticipate price changes and disruptions.
Manage raw material inventory to optimize stock holding and meet production schedules.
Collaborate with production and quality teams on material specs and compliance.
Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.
