Job summary

Alstom is seeking a Project Procurement Manager to lead the procurement contribution to large-scale rail projects. You will define and implement the project procurement strategy, ensure QCD commitments from tender phase, and coordinate with LU/PU and SSMs to secure supplier alignment.

You will organize procurement launches, monitor progress, manage contracts, and drive corrective actions to avoid schedule and cost overruns.

Qualifications

• National Diploma in Purchasing or equivalent; BS/BA in Purchasing, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Information Technology or other business-related field.
• 5–7 years of procurement or related industry experience.
• Procurement professional background and/or Quality /supply chain/technical background.
• Experience in management (3+ years).
• Strong sourcing and supply chain exposure, ideally in manufacturing/rail.
• Purchasing background and/or quality /supply chain/technical background.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement project procurement strategy with the Procurement Platform Director (PPLD), based on the Product Procurement strategy, into a Project Procurement Management Plan, approved by Procurement stakeholders (Domain, Platform/Solution).
• Ensure the Project Procurement strategy is shared, understood, applied by the procurement teams and the SSMs.
• In collaboration with Legal Department, build and publish the specific legal requirements to be applied for the project (i.e. Project Specific agreement, RFQ letter).
• Coordinate procurement activities, organize procurement launch meetings, track progress, and define corrective actions with Procurement and SSMs.
• Orchestrate Contract creation and contract execution activities.
• With PrCM support, arrange Supplier contract meetings to review progress and ensure alignment with planning; manage escalation of issues.
• Define processes and tools including reporting and ensure application on the whole project.
• Ensure Business Award compliance with Project Procurement strategy and QCD requirements; monitor localization and financial conditions.
• Escalate issues and risks, propose corrective actions.
• Ensure QCD performance is reported for each subsystem and component; deploy ePMFU tool across subsystems.
