Job summary

A leading consumer goods company is seeking a Buyer to manage purchasing of materials and supplies. Responsibilities include negotiating with suppliers, ensuring stock availability, and maintaining procurement records. The ideal candidate will have at least four years of experience in a procurement role and a strong FMCG background. A minimum CIPS level 4 qualification is essential. This role is based in Gauteng, South Africa.

Qualifications

• A minimum of four years' experience in a buying/procurement environment.
• FMCG background experience preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate deals with suppliers and research item selections.
• Ensure timely delivery and availability of spares to minimize downtime.
• Develop proactive relationships with OEMs and 3rd party suppliers.
