Were seeking a Strategic Portfolio Manager to lead the development and institutionalisation of a Strategic Portfolio Office (SPO) framework that drives alignment accountability and strategic value across the organisation. The ideal candidate will combine deep expertise in portfolio programme and project management with the ability to design governance frameworks implement best practices and elevate enterprise-wide delivery maturity.
Design and implement the SPO operating model governance structures and strategic frameworks.
Develop and maintain policies procedures and templates to standardise portfolio management practices.
Drive the institutionalisation of portfolio management across the organisation.
Oversee the strategic alignment prioritisation and performance of the project portfolio.
Monitor portfolio health risks and benefits realisation to ensure value delivery.
Facilitate decision-making on resource allocation and investment optimisation.
Partner with executive leadership to align portfolio strategy with organisational goals.
Provide strategic recommendations and data-driven insights to senior stakeholders.
Lead communication and change management efforts to embed SPO practices.
Strengthen organisational capability in portfolio management through training and mentoring.
Establish performance metrics and continuous improvement mechanisms for the SPO.
Bachelors degree in Business Strategy Finance or a related field (Masters preferred).
810 years experience in portfolio programme or project management.
Demonstrated success in setting up or leading a Strategic Portfolio Office.
Certification in Portfolio Management (PfMP MoP or equivalent) advantageous.
Assessment of the current state of project management within the organisation.
Development of SPO-related policies documentation and institutionalisation strategies.
Analysis of existing project management systems (e.g. Project for the Web).
