Job summary

Absa Group in Johannesburg seeks a seasoned Business Development professional to lead long-term partnership strategy in line with AVAF objectives. You will own end-to-end partnerships, shape strategy formulation and translate plans into actionable initiatives with key external partners.

You will manage governance, develop value propositions, negotiate arrangements and drive market intelligence to grow strategic collaborations regionally while maintaining rigorous risk controls.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, or Management Studies (Required).
  • Proven experience in strategic partnerships and business development.
  • Strong governance, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to translate strategy into actionable plans and initiatives.

Provide complex advice and support in facilitating long term strategy development for partnerships in line with AVAF strategy to commercialise partnerships, with an end to end ownership of the relationship. Develop and facilitate strategy formulation, planning process; and focus on managing the translation and implementation of the AVAF strategy with our strategic partners.

Stakeholder Management
  • Develop relationships with business leadership and ensure that business improvement recommendations are monitored and sustained.

  • Through internal and external relationships, source, develop and design tactical initiatives and proof of concepts with the view of translating this into broader strategic partnerships.
  • Work with Analytics and Product to develop campaigns that stimulates existing and develops new partnerships.
  • Apply expertise to conceptualise the new business development opportunities by collating and facilitating inputs from internal and external parties that are involved in the development.
Education

Bachelors Degree and Professional Qualifications: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required)
