About the role
The team is responsible for bringing an outside-in perspective and driving analysis and development of insight.
The team also leads a number of areas on behalf of GC&I including competitive intelligence, performance monitoring and channel choice preferences in the context of mandatory firm rotation (MFR).
The Strategic Insight SM is a critical role in this new team working collaboratively with the pillar lead to contribute to the wider success of GC&I.
Key responsibilities
As a senior manager within the team, you’ll be responsible for leading and delivering strategic projects, from scoping, driving the research and the analysis, engaging with key stakeholders, to delivering actionable insight in compelling way. Where relevant you will also be acting in an ‘advisory’ role, providing input and challenge to other parts of GC&I.
Projects might cover:
- Competitive intelligence (CI): create and deliver actionable insight on competitors to the Global Markets Leadership Team (GMLT), and distill those insight to Industry and Platform teams
- Define priority topics and lead conversations with Analysts (Gartner, IDC, Forrester, etc.)
- Act as a connector between the local CI teams by sharing best practices and insight
- Prepare actionable CI reports/presentations
- Industry: drive internal and external analysis and market research to help Industry leaders and territory leaders determine where to best place their investment/focus their efforts
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify x-industry plays where PwC could win
- Bring an outside-in perspective to identify opportunities (e.g. high growth sectors where we are underweight)
- Global 200: work closely with the Global 200 team to support the client ambition planning process, and identify opportunities
- Collaborate with Salesforce Success team to oversee ongoing pipeline and trend analysis and other relevant insights/analytics
- Proactively manage and support channel choice decisions in the context of MFR to ensure we maintain a balanced portfolio between C1 and C2 clients, working closely with the MFR manager and SDC support team
- Drive use of innovation across GC&I, seeking opportunities to make use of new technologies (e.g. Automation, AI, Tableau/Alteryx)
- Play your part in The New Equation by working within a community of solvers across global (Marketing, Finance, Corporate Affairs and Communication)
Skills and experience
We’re looking for a high performing individual who has/is a:
- Strategic and commercial perspective; including a broad and well founded knowledge of the key economic, market, regulatory and competitive issues that impact our business
- Good understanding of the key drivers of our business; covering our clients, industries, markets and breadth of services/capabilities across the Network
- Strong analytical skills and proven experience, both qualitative and quantitative including data analysis and problem solving abilities
- Good experience with Salesforce and financial reporting analysis; experience in analytic and data visualisation tools (Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI etc.)
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, leading and working with stakeholders across all levels, by building trusted relationships and operating with a high level of global acumen
- Experience navigating politics across a multidimensional organisation
- Strong people management and coaching skills
- Strong organisation skills, proven ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
