Job summary

A recognized Skills Development Provider based in Cape Town is seeking a highly competent Financial Controller to lead the finance function and ensure compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will bring at least 5 years of relevant experience, strong financial reporting skills, and advanced Excel proficiency. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to manage the finance team effectively.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years relevant work experience.
  • Confident leader with excellent communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license and own vehicle essential.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full finance function including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts for the executive team.
  • Develop, monitor, and report on budgets and forecasts.
  • Manage cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax requirements, and audit standards.
  • Oversee and review annual financial statements and audits.
  • Implement and maintain internal financial controls and policies.
  • Manage and mentor the finance team.
  • Oversee asset register management and depreciation.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations.

Education
