Job summary

FR Life Assurance in Johannesburg seeks a Cost Accountant Manager to lead costing initiatives and drive profitability analyses across units. You will develop budgets, cost models, and profitability insights to support strategic choices and improved efficiency.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Cost and Management Accounting with 3–5 years costing experience in insurance/financial services or manufacturing; pricing experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cost and Management Accounting with 3–5 years costing experience in Insurance, Financial services or Manufacturing.
• CIMA qualification is advantageous.
• Pricing experience will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cost analysis and provide insights to support decision making.
• Review budgeting and forecasting processes and adjust spend.
• Build and maintain cost models aligned to standard drivers.
• Lead end-to-end costing projects across business units or regions.
• Drive cost modelling to inform strategic decisions and profitability.
