A mining company in South Africa is seeking a candidate to assist production personnel in maintaining safe mining excavations. Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with mining layouts, conducting quality control, and coaching workers on geotechnical hazards. Applicants must have a Grade 12 qualification, relevant certificates in strata control and at least 2 years of underground experience. Competencies such as report writing and general administration are essential.
To assist production personnel to maintain safe and stable mining excavations by over inspecting workplaces to ensure adherence to mining layouts and support standards, conducting quality control of support type selection and support installation and coaching production workers and supervisors regarding identification and treatment of geotechnical hazards and conditions.
