Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Storeman to manage the inventory and stockroom operations for our engineering department. The ideal candidate will ensure all engineering tools, materials, and components are properly stored, accounted for, and distributed in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, inspect, and store incoming engineering materials, parts, and tools.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using stock management systems (manual or digital).
  • Issue materials to engineering and technical staff as per project/work requirements.
  • Ensure proper labeling, shelving, and organization of stores.
  • Perform regular stock checks and assist with periodic audits.
  • Monitor stock levels and notify procurement when reordering is required.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of the store area according to health and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, couriers, and internal departments regarding deliveries and returns.
  • Maintain documentation such as delivery notes, issue slips, and material requisition forms.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, especially for handling hazardous or sensitive items.
Required Qualifications and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training is a plus.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an engineering or technical environment.
  • Familiarity with inventory software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, OMNI, or MS Excel).
