Overview

Applications are invited for the Storeman position to be based in Hoedspruit.

Purpose of the Role

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

The Storeman is responsible for ensuring that goods received and dispatched are in good order. The Storeman is further responsible to ensure storerooms are kept in good order and SOPs for storage are adhered to. The Storeman is further responsible to ensure accurate stock and records are kept.

Responsibilities

Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitoring inventory balances and identifying requirements on an ongoing basis, based on stock-takes, reasonable projected usage as well as ad hoc client requirements.
  • Accepting delivery of supplies, checking packing slips/delivery notes/invoices for accuracy and insuring quantities received are as stated.
  • Packing and unpacking items to be stocked on shelves in stockroom in an orderly and accessible manner.
  • Keeping a register of obsolete/redundant and defective equipment.
  • Monitoring and managing CPE removed from client premises.
  • Managing collections and deliveries.
  • Assist the Stock Controller and or Line Manager with duties as is required from time to time.
Qualifications
