About the Role:

A leading national retail group is seeking an experienced and hands‑on Store Manager to oversee all operational, financial, and HR aspects of a busy retail branch. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in retail management, stock control, cash handling, and staff leadership in a large‑format retail or FMCG environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage overall store operations to achieve profitability and sales targets.
  • Oversee store administration, cash office, and point‑of‑sale operations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, and retail standards.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor the store team to maximise productivity and development.
  • Plan, implement, and monitor stock control, shrinkage, and inventory accuracy.
  • Coordinate promotions, merchandising, and customer service initiatives.
  • Analyse financial and operational reports to drive business improvements.
  • Manage HR processes including scheduling, leave, and performance management.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Grade 12 / Matric (essential).
  • Diploma, BCom, or Retail Management qualification (advantageous).
  • 5+ years’ experience in retail store management.
  • Experience with SAP, UNISOLV, Qlikview, or Kronos (advantageous).
  • Strong financial, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
