A renowned bakery in Cape Town is looking for dynamic Store Managers and Assistant Store Managers to oversee day-to-day operations. Candidates should have 3-5 years of management experience in the food and beverage industry, excellent interpersonal skills, and a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities include team training, stock control, and maintaining high service standards. The role requires a Grade 12 qualification, with preference for tertiary education related to food and beverage.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of GAAP system required.

Responsibilities

Château Gâteaux is building a talent pool of qualified individuals in the Cape Town region for the following stores: Access Park Shopping Mall, Tyger Valley Shopping Centre, Constantia Village, Canal Walk Shopping Centre, and Somerset Mall. As an Assistant Store Manager & Store Manager you must be motivated and dynamic with excellent people skills, as well as meticulous with attention to detail.

Responsibilities
  • Opening, Closing and Managing of the Store
  • Daily Stocktaking
  • Maintain a high level of customer service in store
  • Training Staff on existing and new Standard Operating Procedures
  • Ensuring optimal stock levels are maintained in the Store to maximize sales
  • Conducting pre shift meetings in preparation for the day
  • Maintain high levels of Health & Hygiene practices in store
  • Monitor daily & monthly Budgets and drive team towards achieving targets
  • Maintain Store and Operational equipment through preventative maintenance measures
  • Do daily administration as well as analyze trends and data of the store
  • Motivation of team

Minimum Required Experience & Qualification
  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • A tertiary qualification related to Food and Beverage will be advantageous
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in the Food and Beverage Industry in a management position
  • Knowledge of GAAP system
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • High level of numeracy
  • Staff management experience
  • Own Transport
