The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in stock management, ideally within the agricultural sector. Responsibilities include maintaining stock levels, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and leading a team. This role requires strong systems knowledge and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in stock management, preferably in packhouse/agricultural industry.
  • Advantageous: Training in HACCP, BRC, FSSC, SIZA, Health & Safety.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain optimal stock levels and ordering practices.
  • Record and reconcile daily deliveries and usage.
  • Manage stock systems for ordering and tracking.
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP, BRC, FSSC, and Health & Safety standards.
  • Lead and motivate stock staff; handle performance issues.

SUMMARY :

Hoedspruit Area – Limpopo : To manage all aspects of stock operations within the packhouse, ensuring efficiency, productivity, compliance, and effective staff supervision. The role supports optimal stock levels, supplier relations, and regulatory compliance to enable smooth operations.

POSITION INFO : MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Education : Matric + relevant qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Stock Management.
  • Experience : 5+ years in stock management (preferably in packhouse / agricultural industry).
  • Skills : Strong systems knowledge and Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Leadership, negotiation, and communication capabilities.
  • High attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Advantageous : Training in HACCP, BRC, FSSC, SIZA, Health & Safety.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain optimal stock levels and ordering practices.
  • Record and reconcile daily deliveries and usage.
  • Manage stock systems for ordering, receival, usage, and waste tracking.
  • Ensure hygienic, organized, and space-efficient store areas.
  • Liaise with suppliers outside central procurement; monitor performance.
  • Prepare detailed operational and variance reports.
  • Oversee budgeting, reporting, and resource usage.
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP, BRC, FSSC, SIZA, and Health & Safety standards.
  • Lead, train, and motivate stock staff; handle performance issues.
  • Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Drive continuous improvements in stock control and risk management.
