Job Overview

Vacancy: Stock Controller at Life Vincent Pallotti Hospital. The successful candidate will report to the Unit Manager in the SICU, Maxine MacNamara. Strong administration and organisational skills are essential for this position.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct stock control duties delegated by the Unit Manager including managing surgical & ethical stock, ordering, stocktaking, and orienting staff to stock management processes.
  • Manage billing processes: bill stock, update nursing cards, close files.
  • Verify weekly service charges vs PPDs.
  • Assist with clerical/secretarial tasks: coordinate bed bookings, inter‑facility transfers, patient movements on the Patient Accommodation and Movement Boards.
  • Assist with staff planning and answer telephone calls.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 is essential.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Well‑spoken with professional appearance.
  • Good organisational skills and teamwork.
  • Ability to work under pressure, service‑oriented personality, goal‑orientated, cost‑efficient, multitask.
  • Ability to interact with diverse group of staff, patients and clients.
  • Relevant experience in data capturing and stock control is highly advantageous.
