Job description

Job Title : Stock Controller A Krugersdorp based Electronic Security Company is looking for a stock controller to manage our stock inventory.

You will be required to ensure stock availability, negotiate pricing, place purchase orders, receive stock, maintain stock levels and enter job related costs. To ensure success, you should possess knowledge of electronic security components including CCTV systems, alarms, access control and public address equipment.

Experience in a related industry would be beneficial.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Tracking delivery of goods and resolving delays.
  • Implement and oversee stock control procedures to minimize losses.
  • Coordinate with sales and technical teams to forecast future stock needs.
  • Perform regular stock takes and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Manage and track the movement of stock between the technical department, demo rooms, and installation sites.
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and address any quality issues.
  • Maintain proper storage conditions for sensitive electronic components to prevent damage.
  • Regularly update the inventory management system with new stock arrivals, dispatches, and any adjustments.
  • Address and resolve any stock-related queries from internal teams.
  • Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock (OOS).
  • Oversee stock storage processes, including tagging, boxing, and labeling.
  • Vehicle Management – Monitor Service Schedules, booking in / out of vehicles.
Desired Experience & Qualification

A minimum of two years experience in stock or inventory management, preferably within the electronics or security sector. Proficiency in inventory management software and systems. Familiarity with electronic security products. Basic understanding of electronics components and their storage requirements. Ability to use barcoding and RFID systems. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Detail-oriented with an ability to spot discrepancies or anomalies. Effective communication skills for liaising with different departments. Problem-solving skills to address any stock-related challenges.
