Stock Controller | Joburg | Apparel Retail Brand

Apparel Retail Brand in Joburg is seeking an experienced Stock Controller to join their team. The Stock Controller is responsible for managing inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock records, coordinating stock movements, and supporting overall supply chain efficiency. The role requires close attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and effective communication with management and staff across all departments.

Responsibilities and Duties include, but are not limited to:

1. Ensure the cost-effective inventory management of all goods
2. Oversee the stock management data process
3. Ensure the highest level of data integrity
4. Report and scorecard stock distribution performance using internal databases
5. Recommend business solutions that satisfy stakeholder needs, exploring options for value-add
6. Execute standardised reporting and ad-hoc analysis
7. Provide input for risk and opportunity management by evaluating current business (store and warehouse level) from a quantitative and qualitative perspective
8. Check depot days and coverage daily, communicate with planning if needed
9. Report all stock outs to DC Management, sales, and planning, and liaise with planning to resolve stock issues
10. Ensure optimal stock availability and rotation
11. Ensure strict adherence to corporate governance in stock movement and documentation, in line with audit controls, quality control, and inspections
12. Apply FIFO principle to stock movements by printing bin pulling sheets for warehouse
13. Update relevant KPIs
14. Reconcile invoices with shipments and deliveries daily
15. Improve business processes to achieve objectives

Requirements:

• Relevant Diploma or Qualification in Logistics/Supply Chain
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in FMCG/Fashion
• Experience in Retail/Logistics/Distribution environment is an advantage
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and Shopify
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with sound presentation skills
• Willingness to work after hours or shifts if necessary
