Function Stock Controller Facility Position Stock Controller Introduction

A vacancy exists for Stock Controller - based at Life Springs Parkland Hospital , reporting to Loretta Jordaan , Unit Manager . The successful candidate will contribute towards the optimal functioning of nursing team through effective interdepartmental liaising, communication and administrative support.

Critical Outputs
  • Assist with all Inter Hospital sales and orders, plus excess stock advertising and procuring.
  • Management of negative stock and item valuation reports and drive dead stock reduction initiatives.
  • Assisting wards with stock-related queries.
  • Reporting of any stock-related issues and action plans to mitigate issues experienced.
  • Assist with cycle counts (ethical and surgical) and stock takes, as well as the capturing of stock takes and the investigating of stock variances.
  • Assist with all stock control processes and reporting, including bin maintenance.
  • Conducting clerical duties or any other task as allocated
  • Log and manage SAP orders.
  • Ensure accurate billing of stock for both acute, chronic and PD patients.
  • Drive compliance to patient chronic register sign in.
  • Printing and binding of patient registers and other tracking forms
  • Ensure proper filing and archiving of documents for easy retrieval and audit purposes.
  • Ensure quality client service.
Requirements
  • Applicants need to have a minimum qualification of Matric.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) is essential.
  • Medical experience is essential with hospital stock control experience an advantage.
  • A person who is result orientated, pays attention to detail, and has excellent interpersonal as well as excellent communication skills.
  • Customer focus, a commitment towards continuous improvement, the ability to work independently and the management of time is required.
  • Willingness to work overtime, afterhours and weekends also required.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
