Introduction

We are looking for a highly detailed-orientated, accurate and structured Stock Controller & Picker.

This role is central to ensuring smooth day-to-day operations in the dispatch department.

The applicant will manage daily order fulfilment & inventory control and facilitate the timely processing of orders.

The applicant must be able to work under pressure and manage a consistent workload in peak-times.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Receiving orders: Getting instructions detailing what needs to be picked.
  • Placing mould orders & hearing aid orders together for dispatch.
  • Locating items: Finding the correct products within the storage / warehouse area.
  • Retrieving items: Physically collecting the required quantity of each product from its location.
  • Check & confirm items picked for order.
  • Preparing orders for dispatch: Packing, labelling, and staging the picked items for delivery or shipping.
  • Monitoring stock levels: Regularly checking how much of each product is available.
  • Ensuring accurate stock records.
  • Analyzing usage: Tracking how quickly products are being used or sold to predict future needs.
  • Ordering replenishments: Informing head of department when stock levels are low and need to be reordered.
  • Receiving and stocking: Ensuring new stock is received, checked for accuracy, and properly stored in the storage area.
  • Labelling stock items.
  • Inventory audits: Periodically conducting physical counts of inventory to verify the accuracy of records and identify any discrepancies.
  • Part takes in yearly financial stock audits.
  • Communication: Professional telephone and email communication are required for internal correspondence.
  • Fluent in both English and Afrikaans.
Desired Experience & Qualification
  • Must have: Matric certificate.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years' work experience in a similar role (Previous experience within a hearing aid or audiology environment will be highly advantageous).
  • Knowledge of logistics and warehousing.
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal (fluent in both English and Afrikaans).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and adherence to strict stock control procedures.
  • Clear criminal record.
