The Stock Controller is responsible for managing and maintaining optimal inventory levels to ensure smooth operations and product availability. This role involves monitoring stock movement, verifying and recording deliveries, conducting regular audits, and forecasting future inventory needs. The Stock Controller also liaises with suppliers, processes purchase orders and ensures all stock-related data and documentation are accurate and up to date.

Description

• Maintain accurate stock levels and ensure proper storage and handling.
• Conduct regular stock takes and audits to verify accuracy.
• Record all stock movements and reconcile discrepancies.
• Analyze sales trends to forecast future stock requirements.
• Create and manage purchase orders and verify incoming shipments.
• Liaise with suppliers on pricing, quantities, and deliveries.
• Oversee receiving and dispatching of stock, ensuring all documentation is correct.
• Prepare regular inventory and valuation reports.
• Maintain accurate records of stock, purchases, and invoices.
• Support finance and procurement teams to keep orders within budget.

Requirements

• Grade 12 / equivalent required
• Certificate or Diploma in Supply Chain or Inventory Management (beneficial)
• 2+ years’ experience in stock control, warehousing, or procurement
• Knowledge of ERP or inventory software advantageous
