About the Opportunity

Our client, a growing food manufacturing company specializing in granola and snack bars, is looking for a Stock Controller to join their team. This role is all about making sure the right stock is available at the right time — keeping production moving smoothly, reducing waste, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards.

You'll work closely with production, warehouse, and compliance teams, becoming a key link in their supply chain success.

What You'll Be Doing

• Keep it accurate: Manage and monitor raw materials, packaging, and finished goods using an ERP system (Pastel Evolution).
• Stay on top of counts: Perform daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts, investigating and resolving variances.
• Support production: Issue stock to production, reconcile usage, and forecast material requirements.
• Compliance matters: Ensure FIFO / FEFO stock rotation, allergen control, and support audits (HACCP, FSSC).
• Be the go-to person: Generate reports, assist with cost analysis, and maintain traceability records.

Qualifications

• Matric required; a Diploma in Supply Chain / Warehouse Management is an advantage.
• 3–5 years in stock control, preferably within FMCG or food manufacturing.
• Experience with ERP (SAP, Syspro, Sage, or similar) and advanced Excel.
• Strong numerical ability, problem-solving mindset, and excellent communication skills.
