A leading polymer production company in Gauteng is seeking a hands-on Stock Manager. Responsibilities include conducting stock takes, ensuring accurate deliveries, and maintaining pristine stock conditions. The ideal candidate has a Grade 12 education, at least 3 years of relevant experience, and strong skills in administration and MS Office. This role offers a cash salary with physical involvement in warehouse operations.
What youll be doingWeekly and monthly comprehensive stock takes.Daily updated stock takes of critical material by set times to feed into planning, logistics and procurement,Assign stock to job cards and issue accordingly.Must be very hands‑on in yard and factory.Prepacking stock for deliveries.
Ensuring right quantities are sent and delivery notes are correctly completed with all stock items and correct batch numbers as per logistics / customer orders.Ensure delivery vehicles are loaded correctly.Ensure stock is packed and labelled correctly (correct stacking and storage),Assist Production Management team to track progress of WIP (work in progress) and FG (finished goods) and counts on raw materials.Report stock status and movements as requiredMoving stock (with help rom forklift drivers)Ensure forklift drivers and production personnel, store, move or issue material correctlyKnowledge of every item in that factory at every moment.Responsible to ensure the general state of the yard and any place where stock is, is pristine and all stock in any form accounted for.What youll needGrade 12Relevant Tertiary qualification advantageousAt least 3 years proven experience in similar position.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
(Will be tested),Strong administration skills.
(Will be tested),Working knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel Intermediate-Advanced),Proven ability to complete stock sheets and checklists.Proven ability to do basic but accurate calculations on stock availability or usage.Able to report pertinent issues on company WhatsApp groups.Critical thinkerWorking knowledge of Stock / MRP systems an advantage,Ability / License for forklift driving an advantage.Willingness to be available after hours, due to 24-hour operations.What is in it for you?
