Job Advert Summary
The purpose of the Stock Controller is to assist the Picking department, ensuring orders and stock are picked accurately and within a reasonable time frame. Stock must be allocated and checked before it leaves the building, with correct paperwork.
Minimum Requirements
- Relevant experience working in a stock or picking environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Excel (non-negotiable)
- A sense of urgency, attention to detail, calm under pressure, ability to multitask and work as a team player, and ownership of work
- Good written and verbal communication skills, including telephone etiquette
- Good listening skills and the ability to carry out instructions immediately from managers, executives, or the team leader of the Picking department
- Availability to stand in for colleagues and assist where required to meet deadlines
- Deadline‑driven, organized, and willing to go the extra mile
- Fast learner with a growth mindset in an ever‑changing environment
- Heavy lifting required, including moving stock to and from warehouses and assisting with off‑loading trucks when shipments arrive
- Extra hours and weekend work will be required from time to time
- Prior experience in Salesforce & NetSuite is an advantage
Duties & Responsibilities
- Picking and completing orders (both physical and system)
- Supplying and processing swap‑out stock
- Counting all incoming stock, signing paperwork, and unpacking
- Assisting technicians, scheduler, and Logistics agent with stock tasks
- Filling out swap‑out shelves, cleaning stores, topping up stock, and advising on low levels for ordering
- Picking consumable stock
- Arranging deliveries with delivery notes, ensuring they are scanned and shared with Accounts upon return
- Packing cross‑border shipments and providing dimensions
- Assisting with any additional tasks that may arise
